Abstract

This study explores the integration of mindfulness, yoga, and life skills in transformative pedagogies, focusing on their impact on both educators and students. By incorporating mindfulness practices, yoga, and essential life skills such as communication, problem-solving, and emotional intelligence, educators can foster a balanced and supportive classroom environment. These practices enhance emotional regulation, resilience, and focus, helping teachers manage stress while modelling positive behaviours for students. Additionally, students benefit from improved social-emotional learning, greater academic engagement, and a strengthened sense of well-being. The synergy of mindfulness, yoga, and life skills creates a holistic approach to education that promotes personal and professional growth. This study emphasizes the importance of nurturing the whole person—intellectually, emotionally, socially, and physically—to create a thriving, inclusive educational environment.
