This conceptual paper explores the therapeutic potential of integrating music into yoga practice for promoting life skills development and mental wellbeing. By combining the ancient practices of yoga and music, individuals can cultivate a deeper sense of self-awareness, self-regulation, and emotional intelligence. The paper discusses the theoretical foundations of yoga and music therapy, highlighting their complementary effects on physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing. The integration of music into yoga practice is examined as a means of enhancing mindfulness, relaxation, and motivation. The paper also explores the potential benefits of music-integrated yoga for life skills development, including improved emotional regulation, social skills, and resilience. Furthermore, the therapeutic applications of music-integrated yoga for mental health conditions, such as anxiety and depression, are discussed.
