Abstract

Creativity and innovation play a fundamental role in success across various fields, including business, the arts, education, and personal development. However, modern lifestyles often lead to stress, cognitive rigidity, and mental fatigue, which hinder creative potential. Yoga and meditation—practices deeply rooted in mindfulness, breath control, and self-awareness—have been shown to enhance cognitive flexibility, problem-solving skills, and emotional well-being. This study examines the relationship between yoga, meditation, and creativity, highlighting scientific evidence and real-world applications. The paper reviews existing literature and discusses the neurocognitive mechanisms that contribute to creativity and innovation. Findings suggest that integrating yoga and meditation into daily life can foster an innovative mindset and support creative problem-solving. Swami Vivekananda spoke of four paths for attaining moksha: Rajyoga, Karmayoga, Jnanayoga and Bhaktiyoga. The addition of selfless action to this states that through proper action the problematic ego can become a problem-solving matter. As a result, even one who does not believe in God can focus on himself with great honesty, devotion and strength of mind.
