Stress has become an unavoidable part of modern life, affecting individuals physically, mentally, and emotionally. Chronic stress is linked to numerous health conditions, including hypertension, cardiovascular diseases, anxiety disorders, and depression. Managing stress effectively is crucial for maintaining overall well-being. Among the various stress-management techniques available, Pranayama (yogic breathing) and relaxation methods have gained widespread recognition for their effectiveness. Pranayama, an essential component of yoga, involves controlled breathing techniques that regulate the nervous system, improve oxygenation, and promote relaxation. Different Pranayama techniques such as NadiShodhana, Bhramari, Ujjayi, and Sheetali have been studied for their physiological and psychological benefits. Additionally, other relaxation techniques such as meditation, progressive muscle relaxation, and guided imagery are effective in stress reduction. This research paper explores the relationship between stress and health, examines the role of Pranayama and relaxation techniques in stress management, and discusses their impact on mental and physical health. The study aims to highlight the importance of incorporating these techniques into daily life to reduce stress and improve overall well-being.Published
