AUGMENTED REALITY IN AND OUTSIDE CLASSROOM: A PEDAGOGICAL PERSPECTIVE

With the changes in every possible sector of modern lives, education also has undergone various developmental processes and technology has evolved to a certain aid in education that nowadays the teachers start relying on the interactive experiences that develops the real-world experiences with computer originated perceptual information. Here in this study the researcher took 60 secondary level teachers from three schools of South 24 Pargana district. Stratified Random Sampling and Simple Random Sampling were used to select the samples. In this quantitative study a questionnaire was developed to measure the awareness level of secondary school teachers about using Augmented Reality based Teaching Learning Process in and outside the classroom and it was distributed to the samples. The reliability (.75) was checked through Cronbach Alpha Method and Content Validity was checked by confirming it from five subject experts. The questionnaire in Five-point Likert Scale was consisting of 20 questions. Percentage, t test and ANOVA were used as statistical data analysis process. The result revealed that most of the secondary level teachers had very poor or poor level of awareness of using Augmented Reality based Teaching Learning Process in and outside the classroom. There wasno significance difference in the level of awareness about implementing Augmented Reality in and outside of the classroom among the secondary level teachers. Significant difference would have been observed in the level of awareness of using Augmented Reality in and outside of the classroom based on gender of the Secondary level teachers and also among the Science, Social Science and Language Group secondary level teachers.Published
