FLIPPED CLASSROOM: OTHER SIDE OF FORMAL CLASSROOM

With the advent of technology and onset of pandemic there has occurred numerous changes in education arena. Online learning and courses though were inevitable but pandemic ushered in the era much faster. Virtual classrooms and blended learning took place of traditional conventional classrooms. One such innovative mode of lesson transaction is flipped classrooms. The term flipped or reversed is exactly the idea behind it. Flipped classrooms involve technology but they are special because of their approach towards pedagogy. These classes reverse the class work-homework idea of the traditional classrooms. In this qualitative paper the author tries to give a comprehensive idea about flipped classrooms. It is very crucial to understand that flipped classrooms keep the objective of education unchanged while changing the mode of transaction. This learner centered approach can become successful only with active participation of learners. Author tries to highlight how this approach is to be conducted and what are the issues that teachers need to keep in mind while following this approach.Published
