Abstract

The integration of social media into everyday life has significantly influenced the practice of yoga, fostering a convergence between online and offline modalities. This paper explores how social media platforms have transformed the traditional practice of yoga, enabling practitioners to bridge the gap between physical classes and digital experiences. Through a mixed-methods approach, including surveys, interviews, and content analysis, this study examines the role of social media in shaping the behaviors, motivations, and perceptions of yoga practitioners. The findings reveal that social media not only enhances accessibility and community engagement but also redefines the pedagogical methods employed by instructors. By facilitating a seamless transition between in-person and virtual environments, social media empowers practitioners to maintain a consistent and personalized practice, irrespective of physical location. This paper argues that the convergence of online and offline yoga practices, driven by social media, represents a significant shift in the cultural and practical dimensions of yoga, offering new opportunities for growth, connection, and well-being.
