SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS AND EDUCATION

Abstract

In today's information technology era, it is not uncommon for social media to spread into society. Social media has been incorporated not only in social life but also in the education system. Social media is being used in various fields of education, as a result of which various fields of student teacher education are greatly benefited. The objective of the study is to see how different types of social media are being used in education. For this study, data has been collected from various journal, websites etc. From this study we can say that social media especially YouTube, Instagram, Facebook is being used in many areas of education and both teachers and students are benefiting from it. Social media has become a flexible learning medium that saves a lot of time. We need to be aware of how this social media can be used more in education in the near future.
