Abstract

The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the National Curriculum Framework for School Education (NCF-SE) 2023 represent a pivotal moment in India’s education system, signalling a shift towards inclusivity, holistic development, and modernised approaches to learning. NEP 2020 emphasises the integration of critical thinking, creativity, skill development, and technology into the educational landscape, aiming to prepare students for the demands of the 21st century. The NCF-SE 2023, created by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), outlines the curriculum changes necessary to implement the goals of NEP 2020 effectively. Together, these two frameworks seek to provide a comprehensive roadmap for educational reform in India, addressing issues of equity, access, and quality. This paper provides an in-depth examination of both the NEP 2020 and NCF-SE 2023, analysing their strategies, vision, and impact on India's educational transformation.
