The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 marks a transformative shift in India's education system, with curriculum innovation as a core element. This study examines how NEP 2020 champions interdisciplinary learning by dismantling traditional subject silos and cultivating holistic understanding. The policy emphasizes the integration of curricular and extracurricular activities, as well as vocational and academic streams, to create a more holistic and learner-centric curriculum. This integration aims to equip students with the diverse skills and knowledge necessary to navigate the complexities of the 21st century. Interdisciplinary approaches are recognized for their potential to enhance student understanding and foster creative learning. Furthermore, the policy acknowledges the importance of interdisciplinary learning in addressing real-world challenges. Key curriculum reforms outlined in NEP 2020 include flexible degree structures, choice-based credit systems, and the integration of vocational education. These reforms aim to provide students with greater agency and flexibility in their educational journeys. The policy also emphasizes the development of practical skills and promotes innovation and entrepreneurship through interdisciplinary studies and research. This study analyzes the potential impact of NEP 2020's curriculum innovations on student learning outcomes, skill development, and employability. The policy's emphasis on interdisciplinary learning aligns with the growing demand for 21st-century skills and competencies. By fostering critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration across disciplines, NEP 2020 aims to prepare graduates for the demands of the modern workplace. The policy's vision of a flexible, holistic, and learner-centric curriculum has the potential to unlock the full potential of India's students and contribute to a brighter future for the nation.Published
