Abstract

The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 represents a significant milestone in the evolution of India’s education system. Designed to address the challenges of the 21st century, NEP 2020 seeks to make education more holistic, inclusive, and skill-based. This paper examines the impact of NEP 2020 on learning outcomes in India, reflecting on its potential to reshape the educational landscape. By exploring key aspects of the policy, such as curriculum reforms, pedagogical changes, emphasis on critical thinking, and technology integration, the paper evaluates how these measures are expected to influence student learning outcomes. Additionally, the paper discusses the challenges that may hinder the successful implementation of the policy and suggests strategies for overcoming these barriers.
