Abstract

The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, introduced by the Government of India, has been a landmark reform aimed at overhauling the Indian education system. This paper critically examines the transformational impact of NEP 2020 on pedagogical practices in schools and higher education institutions. By exploring the shifts in curriculum design, teaching methodologies, teacher training, and assessment techniques, this study evaluates how the policy seeks to foster a more inclusive, flexible, and holistic education system. Through a review of existing literature, policy documents, and empirical studies, the paper provides insights into the opportunities and challenges that educators face in adapting to these changes and reflects on the potential long-term benefits for both students and teachers.
