CONTEMPORARY PERSPECTIVES FOR MARITAL SUCCESS

Abstract

Marriage is a priceless gift and an incredible blessing, as it serves as the foundation for starting a family. The term "marital happiness" describes both the spouses' subjective sense of contentment with their marriage as a whole and with facets of their union. The tie between married spouses is one of the fundamental partnerships that have experienced significant alteration recently in India. There are various elements affecting marital satisfaction but factors such as sexual contentment have an important impact on satisfaction of marital relationship. The current research focused on exploring the relationship of marital success with sexual contentment. The sample was comprised of N=29 early married college teachers’ males (160) and females (137) from Kumaun university, Uttrakhand – Nanital and Udham Singh Nagar districts. To measure marital satisfaction: Marriage attitude scale by Pramod Kumar, and to measure sexual contentment: sexuality scale by Pramod Kumar has been utilized for data collection. The result shows the positive relation of sexual contentment for marital success. Empirical findings revealed that marital success is affected by sexual contentment, and it is a very important element for happy married life.
