Abstract

Despite the technological advancement and the noteworthy changes brought about by the modern education system, Vedic system of education has an immense significance in today. Vedic education gives us ageless strategies for developing moder education leading an individual to a well-balanced, meaningful and harmonious life. Vedic principles of ‘dharma’ (righteousness) and karma’ (action) not only directs us towards moral uprightness but also injects a positive will power that contributes to the welfare of the community as well as the community. Ultimately, this study advocates for a synthesis of Vedic and modern educational philosophies, arguing that such an integration could lead to an enriched learning environment that prioritizes the overall well-being of students. As educators and policymakers seek to cultivate future leaders equipped to navigate the complexities of the modern world, rediscovering Vedic knowledge offers valuable insights and strategies for creating a more holistic and meaningful education system. This research paper aims to analyse the Vedic ideals of education and their influence and relevance in modern educational practices, particularly in terms of character building, moral education, and holistic development.
