Women's empowerment in education has emerged as a transformative force in shaping societies worldwide. The empowerment of women, particularly through access to quality education, not only benefits individuals but also contributes to the socio-economic development of nations. Education is widely recognized as a key factor in breaking the cycle of poverty, improving health outcomes, and fostering equality in all spheres of life. Historically, women have been marginalized in educational systems across cultures, but the tide is gradually changing with an increased global focus on achieving gender equality, as outlined in the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. The importance of women’s education can be traced back to ancient civilizations where women's roles were primarily confined to the household. In many cultures, girls were denied access to formal education and were expected to assume domestic responsibilities from an early age. However, modern movements for gender equality have successfully shifted the narrative, recognizing education as a basic human right. Women’s education is now seen as a crucial factor in their empowerment, granting them the ability to make informed choices, participate in decision-making processes, and secure a better future for themselves and their families.Published
