Bhave’s philosophy is fundamentally based on Gandhian ideals of self-reliance, simplicity, and moral development, which significantly influenced his educational methods. His focus on education rooted in values, self-directed learning, and improving rural areas through education is notable as a revolutionary method aimed at promoting comprehensive human development. This study explores the fundamental aspects of his schema of education, its philosophical basis, its significance and drawback in the context of contemporary education, and its role in shaping a fair, equitable, and sustainable society. This chapter investigates how Bhave integrated the principles of Truth and Non-Violence into his educational philosophy, examining their significance in promoting holistic development, ethical leadership, and sustainable social change.
