Rural education in India faces unique challenges, including limited access to quality resources, teacher shortages, and inadequate infrastructure. The New Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which sets the groundwork for educational reform, aims to address these issues by promoting holistic and inclusive learning. The NEP emphasizes equity, accessibility, and quality, particularly in rural areas. Key initiatives include the integration of technology, enhancement of vocational education, and the establishment of community engagement programs. The policy encourages localized curriculum development to make learning more relevant to students' socio-economic contexts. By 2024, the effective implementation of the NEP is expected to transform rural education, fostering an environment where students can thrive academically and develop essential skills for sustainable livelihoods. This abstract highlights the critical intersection of rural education and policy reform, underscoring the need for sustained efforts to achieve educational equity in India.Published
