ROLE OF SOCIAL MEDIA IN EDUCATION AND IT’S CHALLENGES

Abstract

Social Media is an online platform where we can share information, thoughts, photos and videos. Social media means media that use for social interaction. Human being constantly strive to live in social networks to meet their sociological needs. Social media also caused social changes, because every aspects of our lives has been influenced by social media. It empowers people to express their thoughts, ideas and opinions. It has a vital influence in our daily life. Social media is dynamic, there is always something new to use, share and learn. The use of social media in education plays an important role. It has influence the academic life of students. The aim of this paper is to highlight the influence of various social media platforms (YouTube, Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter etc.)in education. We all use them to communicate, collaborate and socialize locally as well as globally.
