ROLE AND IMPACT OF INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY IN THE TEACHING AND LEARNING PROCESS

Abstract

Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in education, as a system is to empower 21st century education system for the teachers, students, policy makers, etc. ICT transforms the teaching and learning process besides, an increase in the students’ learning gains, also provides opportunities to develop creativity, communication skills, thinking skills, etc. The present study focus on the modern society to develop a learning environment in which the students, teachers, administrators, parents, etc. can communicate, collaborate easily with each other; share secure information around the clock and ultimately, and access a world of knowledge beyond the classroom walls and all these needs can be fulfilled only through ICT.
