Abstract

In the 21st century, digital literacy has become an essential skill, transforming education by enhancing access to information, fostering critical thinking, and preparing students for a technology-driven world. It encompasses competencies such as technical proficiency, information evaluation, media literacy, and cybersecurity awareness. However, challenges such as the digital divide, lack of teacher training, and cybersecurity concerns hinder its widespread implementation. Addressing these issues requires a collaborative effort from governments, educators, and organizations to promote equitable digital access, integrate digital literacy into curricula, and support teacher development. Strategies such as affordable technology initiatives, public-private partnerships, and community engagement can help bridge the digital divide. By ensuring digital literacy for all, individuals can effectively navigate the digital landscape, enhance career readiness, and contribute to a more inclusive and connected society. This study highlights the significance of digital literacy in education and proposes solutions for its universal implementation.
