Extended Reality (XR), encompassing Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), and Mixed Reality (MR), is transforming social science education by providing immersive, interactive experiences that foster engagement, understanding, and empathy. XR applications enable historical immersion, cultural simulations, geographical exploration, psychological experiments, and sociological studies, enhancing traditional teaching methods. For instance, VR can transport students to historical events or marginalized communities, while AR overlays cultural or geographical data onto real-world environments. These tools facilitate experiential learning, making complex concepts accessible and encouraging active participation.Published
