Abstract

The way we learn is changing faster than ever, thanks to smartphones and the internet. This chapter compares traditional classroom learning with mobile learning, focusing on India’s unique challenges and opportunities. Mobile learning helps students in villages and cities access quality education affordably. Apps like DIKSHA (used by 10 million students) and BYJU’S (150 million users) show how technology makes learning engaging and fun. However, problems like poor internet in rural areas, teacher resistance, and gender gaps still exist. The chapter ends with practical solutions, such as expanding internet access, Expansion of Higher Education, and creating content in local languages. By blending real-world examples and data, this work aims to guide policymakers and educators in building a more inclusive education system.
