It's the primary instructional language in universities worldwide and essential for accessing scientific research and career advancement.Many countries, including EU member states and nations like China, India, and Japan, use bilingual education strategies, combining local languages with English to enhance global competitiveness.The integration of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has transformed English language teaching, providing personalized instruction, collaborative learning, and global knowledge accessibility. The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 emphasizes the importance of English language education in advancing international communication, multicultural understanding, and professional prospects. Effective implementation requires educators to combine ICT with learner-centred teaching methodologies.
