Abstract

Mobile learning (m-learning) is transforming education by providing flexible, accessible, and engaging learning experiences through smartphones, tablets, and other digital devices. It enables students to access educational content anytime and anywhere, breaking geographical and time barriers. Key advantages of mobile learning include personalized learning, interactive engagement, and collaborative education. It also supports microlearning and gamification, making education more dynamic and effective. In India, mobile learning is poised for significant growth, driven by technological advancements, AI-driven platforms, and government initiatives like Digital India. However, challenges such as software and hardware limitations, distractions, internet connectivity issues, and misuse of devices must be addressed to maximize its potential. Despite these challenges, mobile learning is reshaping higher education, corporate training, and skill development, making learning more inclusive and future-ready. As mobile technology continues to evolve, its role in education will become increasingly significant.
