INTEGRATION OF DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY IN MODERN EDUCATION SYSTEM IN INDIA IN THE LIGHT OF NATIONAL EDUCATION POLICY-2020

The education system in modern India has vital significance in developing a pool of educators equipped with advanced technological devices and enriched with skills of contemporary knowledge for expected dynamic information, attitude and abilities. Basically the digital literacy means the skills to apply communicative information technology in response to social needs, up gradation of technologies and adjustment of learners’ requirements. The important characteristics of the 21st century education are the Indian values, virtues, conventional ethics, language under the Indian Knowledge System (IKS) with updated version in education and pedagogy. The advanced version of education programmee needs knowledge of skills for the concept of practical instructions and design of modern electronic devices and its proper application concerning the modern Indian urban and rural societies. The pre-service teachers must be highlighted to undergo technology-based, high quality teacher education projects under expert teachers. The educational institutions are designed in such a way that the undergoing pre-service teachers will become efficient, skilled and ready to address new problems. The integrity and credibility are pre-requisite to improve education for quality levels which demand for comprehensive thoughts, initiation for required transformation, recommending and implementing to national and international needs. This article aims to acknowledge the application of information and technology as well as highlight the key factors of modern Indian education system. It also aims to study in detail the current scenario, challenges, initiatives and future prospects of education in India. The NEP-2020 has accepted the well organised high-tech education programmee with transformative mode for the future generations. The new education policy also emphasized only for educationally viable, multidisciplinary and integrated education programmee shall be existed by 2030.Published
