How research in academics have always been a place where things took a different turn with dishonesty, cheating, copying, hiding and not acknowledging. Right from the code of Hammurabi to the Nuremberg code and finally to the UGC’s Academic Integrity Regulation, 2018 surfaced the efforts on focusing the need of academic integrity. The chapter is a repertoire of how academic integrity can be fostered through counselling the plaguing issues of dishonesty-cheating and plagiarism and shifting the focus from punitive measures to developmental support. Tackling the fast pace of technological innovations in academics and research has also opened new doors indulging into conversation on how technology helps and because of which our cultural responses to it change.
