Abstract

In an increasingly interconnected world, interdisciplinary convergence between science and social science has become crucial for addressing complex global challenges. This study explores the theoretical foundations, emerging trends, and challenges of integrating these disciplines to develop holistic solutions. Scientific advancements alone cannot drive meaningful change without incorporating social science perspectives on human behavior, cultural contexts, and policy implications. Emerging trends such as computational social science, participatory research methodologies, and policy-driven interdisciplinary studies highlight the growing synergy between these fields. However, significant barriers remain, including methodological differences, institutional constraints, and epistemological divides. Overcoming these challenges requires institutional support, interdisciplinary training, and policy reforms that foster collaboration. This study underscores the importance of integrating scientific and social scientific approaches to drive innovation, inform policymaking, and create more sustainable and effective solutions for contemporary global issues. By bridging disciplinary boundaries, interdisciplinary research can enhance knowledge production, support ethical technological advancements, and contribute to societal well-being in a rapidly evolving world.
