Abstract

The paper aims to explore the evolution of gender inequality across different historical periods and analyze its persistence in various cultural and economic contexts. Specifically, the objectives are: To trace the origins of gender inequality from prehistoric societies to modern times, highlighting key transitions that shaped gender roles. 2. To examine the role of social structures, institutions, and ideologies—such as religion, feudalism, and capitalism—in perpetuating gender disparities.3. To evaluate the progress made in combating gender inequality through legal reforms, social movements, and cultural shifts.4. To explore the ongoing challenges in achieving gender equality in the 21st century, with a focus on intersecting forms of discrimination.To emphasize the importance of intersectionality in understanding how race, class, and ethnicity compound the effects of gender inequality.
