PERMEATING GLOBAL PERSPECTIVE IN SCIENCE AND SOCIAL SCIENCE CURRICULUM

Abstract

The term global perspective means to take into account an issue or look at something keeping in mind how it affects people all over the globe. In this era of technology, it is very easy to find out what is happening all over the world in a fraction of seconds. This makes us aware and realize that we live in an independent world and hence one cannot ignore the positive and negative effects faced by mankind. We all are aware of the Sanskrit phrase Vasudhaiva kutumbkam it is a philosophy that encourages people to be responsible for each other and for the future of the planet. The phrase emphasizes that we should all go beyond our homes, communities and country and consider the whole universe as a family.
