CROSS CULTURAL ANALYSIS OF EMOTIONAL REPRESSION AND REGULATION AMONG BENGALI INDIVIDUALS - A MIRROR TO THE NATION

Abstract

The cultural integrity and identity is essential for an individual to understand and encompass the beliefs, values and practices that results in shaping their self - perception and govern their emotions, thoughts and behaviors. Every culture is uniquely beautiful and essential to understand and preserve and so does the psychological aspect of the individual. The ideology of “Viksit Bangla” – Viksit Bharat 2047 is not just a motive or aspiration but an essentialism. The individuals living outside West Bengal suffer a great toll of indifference and subjugation resulting in emotional conflict and regression. This is high time for the nation to look beyond the political agenda in order to understand and regulate the Bengali Hindu diaspora for better socio economic and psychological well – being towards progress, perseverance and prosperity.
