Abstract

This chapter talks about government initiatives related to entrepreneurship and emphasises higher education's essential role in fostering entrepreneurial talent, which is crucial for driving economic growth and societal progress. In a rapidly changing global market, fostering such talent is more important than ever for nations seeking to maintain competitive advantages. We cannot dream of Viksit Bharat without entrepreneurship. The government of India has launched various schemes for startups; the present chapter talks about some of those schemes and the role of higher education organisations in developing entrepreneurship talent in youth.
