Emerging technologies in civil engineering are driving a paradigm shift towards sustainable and eco-friendly construction practices. This review explores the latest advancements in green construction, emphasizing innovations that enhance energy efficiency, resource conservation, and environmental sustainability. The study examines the integration of cutting-edge materials such as self-healing concrete, carbon-negative cement, and bio-based composites, which contribute to reduced carbon footprints. Additionally, the role of digital technologies, including Building Information Modeling (BIM), the Internet of Things (IoT), and artificial intelligence (AI), in optimizing construction processes is highlighted. The impact of modular and prefabricated construction methods on reducing waste and improving efficiency is also discussed. Furthermore, renewable energy solutions, such as solar-integrated building materials and energy-efficient designs, are explored in the context of sustainable infrastructure. The review underscores the importance of policy frameworks, industry collaboration, and investment in research to accelerate the adoption of green construction technologies. By integrating these advancements, the civil engineering sector can significantly contribute to mitigating climate change and fostering a more sustainable built environment.Published
