Abstract

A positive learning environment can support all children to flourish. Parental and Community involvement is a key factor in improving the quality of education and student success. However, various challenges such as lack of awareness, socioeconomic constraints, cultural barriers, communication gaps, weak policy implementation, and the digital divide hinder active participation. Despite government initiatives like the Right to Education (RTE) Act, National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA), and Vidyanjali 2.0, schools often face difficulties in engaging parents and communities effectively. Addressing these challenges requires a comprehensive approach that includes strengthening School Management Committees (SMCs), enhancing digital literacy, providing parental training, fostering school-community partnerships, and ensuring inclusive communication. By overcoming these hurdles through collaborative efforts, a more inclusive and equitable education system can be achieved, ensuring better learning outcomes for students.
