Abstract

Various positive aspects such as students' mental happiness, satisfaction, motivation, well-being, understanding the meaning of life, etc. make their learning enjoyable and fruitful. Positive psychology greatly enriches this enjoyable learning experience for students. However, to make learning enjoyable, it is essential that all the needs of students are met. A good idea of which needs are important in this regard can be found in Maslow's hierarchy of needs. Therefore, the main objective of this paper is to explore some strategic interventions of positive psychology for teaching learning practices in the light of Maslow's hierarchy of needs. This is a qualitative approach. This study conclude that by fulfilling all the needs described by Maslow and adopting appropriate interventions in teaching-learning processes accordingly, it will be possible to apply positive psychology in education to a large extent. This paper plays a significant role in ensuring the well-being of students by shaping their positive attitudes, feelings, emotions, behaviours etc.
