Abstract

Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) has emerged as a crucial component of modern education, significantly influencing students’ academic performance, interpersonal relationships, and overall school climate. This research examines the impact of SEL on student motivation, resilience, and stress management, highlighting its role in fostering emotional intelligence, self-regulation, and decision-making skills. The study also evaluates the effectiveness of various SEL strategies in improving interpersonal relationships and promoting a positive school environment. Despite its proven benefits, implementing SEL programs faces several challenges, including the lack of standardized curricula, insufficient teacher training, stakeholder resistance, and financial constraints. However, the opportunities presented by SEL, such as enhanced academic achievement, reduced behavioral issues, and long-term career success, underscore its necessity in education. Empirical data from various studies indicate that SEL interventions lead to improved student engagement, reduced conflicts, and better mental health outcomes.
