Mindfulness, rooted in ancient Buddhist traditions, has gained recognition as a powerful tool for enhancing mental health, emotional regulation, and cognitive functioning. Research highlights its benefits in reducing stress, improving focus, and fostering resilience among students and professionals. Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and other mindfulness interventions (MBIs) have shown positive outcomes in academic and workplace settings, including decreased anxiety, enhanced emotional intelligence, and reduced burnout. Neuroscientific studies further support its impact on brain function, particularly in attention and emotional regulation. Despite its advantages, individual differences and contextual factors influence its effectiveness, necessitating further research on long-term impacts. Integrating mindfulness into schools and workplaces can promote well-being, self-regulation, and productivity. Future studies should explore tailored mindfulness approaches for diverse populations to maximize benefits.Published
