Abstract

Teaching-Learning process can occur in various places and under various circumstances, but an organized learning environment is a primary requirement for formal quality education. Classroom environment is crucial for ensuring academic success, personality development, and holistic development of learners. Creating an effective learning environment requires teachers to take initiative in the classrooms. The author studies the pivotal role of teachers in creating and maintaining an effective learning environment by analyzing concept of learning environment, features of learning environment, types of learning environment, benefits and challenges of effective learning environment. Teachers can foster a student friendly environment by using technology and catering to diverse learning styles.
