SIGNIFICANCE OF POSITIVE REINFORCEMENT IN LEARNING

Abstract

The Positive reinforcement plays a prominent role in numerous educational institutions and individual classrooms worldwide. Providing commendation and incentives to students who demonstrate good behaviors and fulfill academic responsibilities within the classroom setting enables educators to focus on desired behaviors while minimizing attention on undesirable conduct that may arise. This study aims to elucidate the perspectives on how positive reinforcement is believed to cultivate a heightened sense of accountability among students, motivating them to exert greater effort to accomplish tasks. This paper attributes this motivation to the anticipation of receiving commendation or a tangible incentive as a result of their efforts.
