Abstract

The advent of 5G technology marks a transformative era in digital communication, significantly altering the landscape of IT infrastructure and global connectivity. As the fifth-generation wireless network, 5G offers unprecedented data speeds, ultra-low latency, and enhanced capacity, enabling real-time communication and the seamless operation of emerging technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI), and cloud computing. This paradigm shift necessitates substantial upgrades in network architecture, including edge computing deployment, virtualization, and the adoption of software-defined networking (SDN). Furthermore, the enhanced connectivity provided by 5G supports the proliferation of smart cities, autonomous systems, and remote work environments. This paper explores the multifaceted impact of 5G on IT frameworks, examines the challenges associated with its integration, and highlights the strategic adaptations required by organizations to fully leverage its capabilities.
