IMPORTANCE OF 21ST CENTURY SKILLS FOR TEACHERS EDUCATORS

Abstract

In the 21st Century, technological demand increasingly evolved in the educational landscape. The role of teacher is crucial for equipping 21st Century Skills such as 4C’s (Critical thinking, Creativity, Communication and Collaboration), ICT literacy, leadership and social skills. In the technological era, teachers are not only the reservoir of knowledge but also artist of the whole teaching learning process. These 21st Century Skills foster educators to adopt it in their teaching for the fulfillment of the diverse learner needs. They also prepared them for the 21st century challenging world. In the teaching process, the teacher eagerly inculcates critical thinking ability into them and also helps them to solve more complex problem that are related to their real-life situations("Technical Guidance 21st Century Learning Application to Improve the Pedagogic and Professional Competence of Elementary School Teacher", 2022).
