In a rapidly globalizing world, education must evolve to mirror the complexities of gender, identity, and diversity. This chapter critically examines how textbooks, classroom interactions, and teacher practices often reinforce gender stereotypes and heteronormativity. While feminist theory remains vital in advocating equity, we also explore the role of positive masculinity—emphasizing balance and mutual respect between all gender identities. Through a global lens, the chapter highlights the inclusion of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer or questioning (LGBTQ+) identities in curricula, the impact of teacher bias, and the promise of inclusive pedagogy. Referencing frameworks like India’s NEP 2020, it argues that diversity in gender and sexuality reflects human complexity—not deviation. Ultimately, it calls for non-judgmental, empathetic classrooms where every learner—regardless of identity—is treated with dignity, kindness, and acceptance.Published
