Abstract

This research paper explores the intersection of eco-pedagogy and environmental education as a transformative educational approach to address the ecological crisis. Drawing on Paulo Freire's critical pedagogy, eco-pedagogy emphasizes the development of ecological consciousness and ethical responsibility among learners. This paper examines how eco-pedagogical strategies can be integrated into formal and informal education systems to foster critical thinking, socio-environmental awareness, and sustainable behavior. The study includes a literature review, analysis of case studies, and recommendations for implementing eco-pedagogy in educational settings
