Abstract

This study explores the impact of bullying on young minds of vulnerable children with Learning Disabilities in mainstream schools. Peer group antagonistic attitude projected as peer –bullying impacts physical and mental wellbeing, which in turn further affects academic performances of victims. The focus of the study is on academic differences that trigger bullying on children with Learning Disabilities. Two individuals who are in the active –bullying phase and one, who has experience of being bullied, were interviewed. The interviews throw light on psychosocial states of these victims of peer-bullying. Exigency for enforcing anti-bullying environment in mainstream schools is highlighted. Testimonials of respondents support the need for creating a safe inclusive environment for all learners in mainstream schools.
