Teachers serve as role models for students and mentors in their educational journey. Often referred to as the architects of the next generation, teachers shape the future by imparting knowledge and values. The primary objective of teacher education is to develop educators who possess both professional expertise and academic proficiency. Beyond traditional instruction, teachers now take on multiple roles, requiring them to meet high academic standards while demonstrating professionalism, practical teaching abilities, and pedagogical expertise. Teacher education focuses on equipping future educators with the necessary knowledge, mindset, skills, and behavioral attributes essential for effective teaching. In this context, soft skills play a crucial role in shaping a prospective teacher’s success. Developing these skills within teacher education programs enhances communication, adaptability, emotional intelligence, and leadership—key qualities for effective teaching. Training in soft skills empowers aspiring teachers to refine their teaching competencies and maximize their professional potential.Published
