Abstract

The evolution of, knowledge is increasingly driven by the convergence of disciplines. Fostering innovations like nanotechnology, biotechnology and data science. The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 emphasizes multidisciplinary education advocating, flexible curriculum Academic Bank of Credits (ABC), Multidisciplinary Education and Research Universities (MERUs) to bridge traditional academic branches. This approach, addresses complex global challenges, such as the space exploration, AI-driven healthcare, and sustainable development by integrating STEM, humanities and vocational training. However challenges, like faculty resistance, rigid assessment methods and funding gaps hinder execution. Strategic reforms, faculty training, industry and academia partnerships, and policy monitoring, are critical for NEP 2020s success. This paper explores the transformative potential of, multidisciplinary learning in preparing a future ready workforce, while addressing systemic barriers.
