Abstract

Globalization has played a key role in integrating sectors within a country and outside it such that all of the developmental aspects is seen from a unified angle, dissecting the impacts on a larger platform. This necessitates the global markets and its communities to focus on a knowledge-sharing scenario which responds to global demands with a strong local footing. The chapter looks into the role globalization has played in narrowing the digital divide across nations. It intends to interrogate the role played by global capital and curriculum to bring out the expected trajectory in the educational scenario which is context-sensitive and relies on skill development, thus helping to alleviate the faults in the structure. It is a long way forward, but it is equally important to lay down the proxies of knowledge-sharing in order to accrue the benefits of the projected growth in the global human capital.
