In the evolving educational landscape, the holistic development of future educators requires moving beyond fragmented disciplinary silos toward integrative, inclusive approaches. This chapter explores how blending disciplinary boundaries fosters a more comprehensive and transformative model of teacher preparation. In an era shaped by rapid technological change, global interconnectivity, and diverse learner profiles, there is a growing need for educators who can synthesize knowledge across disciplines while nurturing the intellectual, emotional, and social dimensions of learners. The chapter examines various models of disciplinary fusion which includes intra-disciplinary, multidisciplinary, cross-disciplinary, interdisciplinary, transdisciplinary, and meta-disciplinary approaches, and how each contributes to holistic teacher formation. It also explores into the implications of India's National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which advocates for integrated and flexible curricula in teacher education. Challenges such as institutional inertia, limited interdisciplinary training, and assessment complexities are acknowledged. Finally, the chapter offers strategies to embed disciplinary fusion in teacher education through curriculum innovation, faculty development, and collaborative institutional ecosystems. Embracing disciplinary fusion within a holistic framework empowers educators to become adaptive, reflective, and responsive professionals equipped for the demands of 21st-century classrooms.Published
