MEASURING OCCUPATIONAL STRESS AMONG THE TRAINEE TEACHERS IN INTERNSHIP SESSION: A DESCRIPTIVE SURVEY

This quantitative study was based on descriptive survey. 160 samples were taken from 16 schools of Kolkata and Howrah region. ‘Teacher Stress Inventory’ (TSI) by Fimian, M. J., and Fastenau, P. S. (1990) was used to collect the data. Percentage Analysis, Mean, SD, T test and ANOVA were used proving that most of the trainee-teachers had moderate level of occupational stress, in the case of gender, there was no significant difference in the level of occupational stress, whereas in the case of habitat area and stream of education there were significant differences in the level of occupational stress.Published
