Abstract

The role of artificial intelligence (AI) and automation in bridging the digital divide in developing nations has been explored in this study. Challenges associated with the adoption of digital technologies in these countries have been highlighted, and the potential of AI-driven solutions to enhance connectivity, improve service delivery, and support socio-economic development has been examined. A qualitative analysis of secondary data obtained from global development organizations and research institutions was conducted to derive insights. It has been concluded that the strategic implementation of AI and automation can be utilized to empower developing nations in closing the connectivity gap. However, barriers related to policy formulation, infrastructure development, and educational access is recognized as continuing concerns requiring targeted interventions.
