This study explores the level of awareness of school administrators regarding school-based mental health interventions and how factors such as gender, habitat area, and years of experience impact their understanding and implementation of mental health programs. The study, conducted in 10 schools in the Kolkata and Howrah regions, found no significant difference in awareness based on gender. However, administrators from urban areas demonstrated a higher level of awareness compared to their rural counterparts, highlighting disparities in resources and exposure. Additionally, administrators with more than 10 years of experience exhibited greater awareness than those with less experience, indicating that experience contributes to a deeper understanding of mental health needs. The research also identifies several key mental health intervention programs, including stress management, mental health awareness, and mindfulness workshops, all aimed at fostering a supportive school environment. The findings emphasize the need for targeted professional development, especially in rural areas and among less experienced administrators.Published
